For dads
A father's responsibility in Arizona
Must the father help pay for the pregnancy? Partly. In a paternity case the court must decide how much each parent pays toward the actual costs of the pregnancy and childbirth; ongoing child support starts at birth, with past support usually limited to 3 years before the case is filed.

If you can't care for your baby
Safe haven: no one gets hurt, no questions asked
In Arizona a parent can safely hand over a newborn up to 30 days old. Where: On-duty firefighters, on-duty EMTs, medical staff at hospitals; staff/volunteers at licensed adoption or child welfare agencies and churches that post a notice that they accept newborns. You can stay anonymous. There are 1 Safe Haven Baby Boxes in the state.
